the promised drinks on arrival were only between every other chair leaving myself and the person opposite eyeing up one small shot glass of what tasted like cough syrup. The tables were in rows rather than round tables to pack in as many people as possible into the room and didn't leave any room to mingle with the rest of the party or even to return to your seat safely with a hot drink. The night was described as "FABULOUS" on the website while the use of the words "as always" led me to believe we would get the same quality as last year. Having enjoyed a christmas dinner last year at the clarion i was looking forward to another good meal with great entertainment. His customer service was absolutely atrocious, he had zero charisma or people skills whatsoever and really tarnished what was already a poor dining experience. He then stormed away for the table like a huffy schoolboy. The supervisor came over to the table without even as much as an apology and was actually very passive aggressive to the customers. When the bill was added wrongly, the ladies said to the young waitress. He also was waiting a table beside us and on several occasions we heard him to be pompous, ignorant and rude to the ladies at the table. The supervisor then came back to us and again instead of approaching our table he stuck his hand over the railings to take our bill without even as much as a thanks.
Was was £40.80, rather steep for what we had ordered quality wise. We weren't enjoying our time there so we asked for the bill. His head was about 5cm away from my plate. After we were eating our meal instead of coming up the steps to come to our table to ask if everything was ok, he stuck his head over the railings to the left of our table and asked if things were ok. The man I mentioned earlier who seemed to the supervisor and spoke with a foreign accent seemed to be quite bossy to the young waiting staff who seemed only to be trying their best. The vibe in the restaurant was quite tense. My partners curry had very little flavour and the only vegetables in it was literally one mushroom cut into tiny pieces. My enchilada was ok, lacked in flavour a bit but was made with good fresh ingredient s. When his arrived he was given half rice and half chips instead of the rice and a side order of chips which we were supposed to share. I ordered the chicken enchilada and my partner ordered the chicken curry and a side of chips. When our mains arrived the portions were huge but the quality of food left a lot to be desired. It was like a frozen platter you could buy in any supermarket. We didn't get separate plates so we had to use our napkins to set the food onto. When it arrived it was decidedly average. We ordered the combo platter for two for a starter. We were seated in the raised part of the restaurant over to the right hand side. Showed us to our table and took drinks orders. On arrival we were greeted by a most over the top man in a suit. Guests can enjoy American cuisine at McDonald's Stazione, situated in the immediate adjacency of this Pisa property.Arrived at the red pepper restaurant with my partner for an evening meal on a Saturday night.
